Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms offered a view of the castle out the window but were warm due to the hot exhaust funnel from the kitchen inside the wall. The service was exceptional, from warming up meals in their kitchen to accepting American credit cards without chips. The location right in the center of Vianden is perfect and just a one-minute drive from the chairlift, though the dining experience was a bit concerning with a preference for Dutch products over local Luxembourgish ones.

The hotel definitely has its charms with spacious rooms, plenty of furniture for lounging around, and a convenient location for exploring Vianden and its surroundings. However, the outdated decor and subpar bed linen could use a refresh. The service was warm and accommodating, but the dining experience left something to be desired with below-average coffee. Overall, a decent hotel with some room for improvement.
